Day 86, The best birthday present ever!

Showing off her 1st place plaque and the Team plaque!
Check out my Performance here!
Sunday was a great day for my 12-year-old!  She spends most of her time either at school or at gymnastics; so, you would think that a first place All-Around title was about the best gift she could receive..Well, not exactly!

Just ask her Coach Tammy what gets her going...
My daughter is a pretty simple girl.  She's a hard-worker and a good kid, but if you really want to motivate her, just ask her Coach Tammy what gets her going - not a First place trophy or even the team trophy...Just a good ole' bag of Skittles!  We discovered a while ago that the promise of a bag of Skittles always seemed to help her nail her skills at gymnastics meets – not fancy clothes or fancy toys or electronics...just Skittles:)

She LOVES Skittles and I love our dentist, Dr. Satterfield-Siegel and the sealants she puts on her teeth!:)  She doesn't get to eat Skittles often, so when she does, it's a pretty special treat!
The biggest bag of Skittles I've ever seen!
All Smiles!

Teammates all came away with first place wins!

Birthday lunch at Cheesecake factory

She got a few other things too!  She got an iPod touch that she lost three months ago...Her little sister found it last week and we thought it would be a great gift from her, since she was the one who found it!  Boy, was my birthday girl happy to get her iPod back!  She had written it off as lost forever.

What a great day for her!  First place All-Around, Skittles, her lost iPod, lunch at Cheesecake factory  and two new books!

Congrats E! Is she still into Ceasar salads? I know she was loving it back in May! Also, have you found a gym for her in Brussels?
